By air: The nearest airport is Limoges, about 40 minutes drive away, and will be down to 30 mins with no delays when the new bridge and bypass of Aix sur Vienne opens shortly.
By car: Pauliac is 362 miles from Le Havre (approx 6 hours drive) and 450 miles from Calais (approx 7 hours drive) with a good percentage of driving on motorway and the last few miles on smaller roads. The route has been improving annually as new roads are under construction. The trip is possible within one day on the excellent French motorways (We recently drove from Skipton, North Yorkshire to Pauliac within one day, and returned similarly).
